More Than Photos: The Extra Things We Do at Weddings
Weddings are beautiful, emotional, and often—let’s be real—completely unpredictable. Over the years, we’ve learned that while our job title may be photographer, what we actually do goes far beyond clicking a shutter.
We show up ready. Like, Boy Scout meets wedding planner meets best friend with a Mary Poppins bag kind of ready. Because while we’re focused on capturing your love story, we’re just as focused on making sure your day runs as smoothly (and joyfully!) as possible.
Here are just a few of the behind-the-scenes moments we’ve stepped into—because we truly believe in being there for all of it:
- Sewed brides and bridesmaids into their gowns after unexpected rips and snags. (Yes, we travel with a sewing kit—and we know how to use it.)
- Applied blood clotting powder from our first aid kit to a groom’s freshly shaved, bleeding face—minutes before he walked down the aisle. (He still said “I do” with a smile.)
- Helped nervous flower girls and ring bearers make it down the aisle with confidence—and maybe a few giggles.
- Gathered groomsmen who were deep in pre-ceremony shenanigans—Hannah’s known as “The Groomsmen Wrangler,” and she lives up to the name.
- Delivered forgotten rings…mid-ceremony. We sprinted. No regrets.
- Pinned loose strands of hair, caught runaway tears, secured boutonnieres, fluffed dresses, adjusted bouquets.
- Bustled bridal gowns like seasoned pros—because that first dance wait shouldn’t be spent fumbling with buttons and loops.
- Handled missing flowers, surprise downpours, and vendors running behind schedule—gracefully and calmly.
- Provided snacks to a low blood sugar bride and handed off a sugar-free energy drink to a fellow vendor running on fumes.
- Helped light reception candles and jumped into last-minute setup mode when extra hands were needed.
We do it all because weddings are wonderfully chaotic—and we’re built for chaos.

Want to know our secret? Our wedding day go-kit includes:

It’s not just about being prepared for our job—it’s about being prepared for every little thing that could come up on yours.
Because we’re not just there to photograph your wedding. We’re there to serve you. To support you. To anticipate the unpredictable and handle it with care, calm, and maybe even a little humor.
This, we believe, is what sets us apart. We don’t just document your day—we help make it unforgettable, in all the best ways.

So yes, we’ll get the beautiful portraits. We’ll capture the hugs, the happy tears, the once-in-a-lifetime moments.
But we’ll also be there with a safety pin, a granola bar, or a perfectly timed bustle—ready for whatever the day throws your way.
Because weddings are wild and wonderful—and we’re here for all of it.
