Winter Styled Shoot {Pajama Factory-Williamsport, PA}

February 15, 2017

We are wedding vendors–florists, bakers, makeup artists, and photographers. We’re the people behind your dream wedding, the ones who take a blank canvas and paint it to match your vision. We’re the ones who go without sleep and bake well into the morning hours so that your cake is as fresh as possible, the ones making a hundred phone calls to try to get you out of season flowers because you have your heart set on them. We’re the ones who are constantly learning new makeup techniques and taking lighting classes to make sure you look flawless. We are the ones who pour our hearts, souls, and energy into your wedding day with everything we have.

We love this industry, and all of our clients. It’s because of you that we are able to wake up every day and go to jobs we adore. And it’s because of you that we will never stop pushing ourselves outside the box, becoming better at our crafts with each passing season. Together, we decided to use the little downtime that winter provides to collaborate on a styled wedding. We wanted to¬†stretch our creative muscles and do something a bit nontraditional (like an emerald green wedding dress). We took our individual ideas and wove them into one. We found the perfect models and got to work. (Thanks again Jeremy and Carleigh! You were amazing.)

As a photographer who’s normally busy doing my own thing on a wedding day, it was so awesome to be able to watch the other vendors work their magic. We don’t usually get to see the florists meticulously construct a flower archway, lovingly placing each flower in it’s correct spot. We miss out on seeing the baker carefully arrange the cake table and adorn it with the most beautifully hand-crafted icing flowers. We are too busy in the bustle of prep to watch as the makeup artist carefully finds the perfect color palette to bring out the bride’s green eyes. It was so incredible to see–this perfectly orchestrated behind the scenes dance. I can’t tell you how lucky we are to get to work with these vendors on a regular basis throughout the year.

When I asked them to collaborate with me on this project I asked for a bouquet and a cake, and they gave me magic. I can’t express how thankful I am that they went on this journey with me, and I am so happy to share what we created.

A million thank you’s to:
