“Love is the answer, and you know that for sure. Love is a flower, you’ve got to let it grow.” >>>John Lennon
Maybe it’s the cold weather and post-holiday blues getting to us, but lately we’ve been dreaming of warm weather and blossoming bouquets. One of the most anticipated parts of a wedding day is seeing what kind of flowers the bride has picked out for herself and her wedding party. The bride’s bouquet is made with love and carried with care. It is dreamt about and personalized. Sometimes, the bouquets are handmade by a loved one. Sometimes, they aren’t even made of flowers.
We’ve seen pendants and tiny photos wrapped tearfully around stems with ribbon and fond-remembrance. We’ve seen grandma’s handkerchief carried around the base of the flowers to wipe away happy and laughing tears. The bouquet that a bride selects and the details she incorporates into it are symbolic of something much deeper than the flowers themselves. It is so special to see the roses, daisies, succulents, and even brooches that a woman carries to say her vows, walking into her new life.
We are so blessed to get to work with such talented and creative florists, who make these dream flowers a reality. We can’t wait to see what beautiful flowers we get to photograph in 2017!
